Here at Kitties4u, we focus on breeding and raising quality kittens that will become purrfect family members. The health and happiness of our kittens is our number one priority.

All of our kittens come with a thorough vet examination, age appropriate vaccinations and dewormings. We send each kitten home with a kitten starter kit that includes food, vitamins, toys, litter, a blanket (with the scent of mom and litter mates), CFA paperwork and information on owning a new kitten. We provide each kitten with a written health guarantee. We also provide 30 days of free pet insurance from Trupanion.

All of our adults are health tested for 43+ diseases, including Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD), Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM), Retinal Degeneraton, Myotonia, Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), Feline Leukemia Virus (FELV) and more. We are ringworm, flea and tick free. We do everything in our power to ensure the health of our adults and future offspring. For more information on health testing, please see below.

All of our babies are CFA registered, many with champion bloodlines. We breed Persian, Himalayan & Exotic Shorthair kittens.
Please inquire regarding breeding rights.

We believe that early socialization is very important. The kittens are raised in our living room and receive frequent attention. Our family consist of a retired dad, stay at home mom, 15 year old daughter (homeschooled), 9 adults cats and 2 dogs (a boxer and a frenchie). We are definitely animal lovers!!!

We provide lifetime breeder support and encourage new owners to keep in touch with updates and pictures. We aim to provide our kittens the very best possible start in life.

We have a residence in Florida and a residence in Pennsylvania. Kittens are often available at both locations as we travel back and forth frequently. Personal delivery options are available. We will deliver up to 2 hours away (saves you 4 hours round-trip) for no charge. We can sometimes deliver further for a fee. Please inquire for more information on personal delivery options.
We will not ship our kittens alone by air. You may however fly into our local airport to pick up your new family member. Some airlines allow you to carry your pet on board for the price of your airline ticket and a fee for each pet. We have had several people do this in the past from as far away as California.

We do offer a multi kitten discount if you would like to add two or more fur babies to your family. There are several benefits to bringing home multiple kittens. You can relax knowing that they have a 24/7 play-partner, it increases their learning skills as kittens will copy one another, it has several health benefits such as reducing the chance that they will become overweight and of course you get twice the love for the same amount of work. Kittens share the same litter box, food, water bowls, etc.

Health Testing

From the day we welcome them into our home, a kitten is more than just a pet. They are our "fur baby" and are loved as a member of the family. Our commitment as a human being is to care and love for this cherished family member. As a breeder, we want to ensure that this love and care starts from the very beginning. The health and happiness of our four-legged family members and their offspring is our #1 priority. That is why every one of our family members is health tested to identify any health risk and the likelihood of passing on health issues to their offspring. This health testing allows our new kitten families to have confidence that from the very beginning, we have taken steps to provide them with a healthy new family member. Below is a list of diseases/conditions that we test for.

Autoimmune disorders Autoimmune Lymphoproliferative Syndrome (ALPS), Leukocyte Adhesion Deficiency (LAD), Blood disorders Factor XII Deficiency, Glanzmann Thrombasthenia, Haemophilia B, Methemoglobinemia, Cardiovascular disorders Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM), Dermatologic disorders Epidermolysis Bullosa Simplex, Inflammatory Linear Verrucous Epidermal Nevus (ILVEN) Endocrine disorders Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia (CAH), Hypogonadotropic Hypogonadism, congenital (TAC3-related), Hypothyroidism, congenital, Metabolic disorders Alpha-mannosidosis, Dihydropyrimidinuria, Gangliosidosis, types GM1 and GM2 (variants 0 and AB), Hyperlipoproteinaemia, Mucolipidosis, type II, Mucopolysaccharidosis, types I, VI and VII, Neuronal Ceroid Lipofuscinosis (NCL), Niemann-Pick Disease, types C1, C2, A, Porphyria, congenital erythropoietic (CEP) or acute intermittent (AIP), Pyruvate Kinase (PK) Deficiency, Wilson's Disease Musculoskeletal and connective tissue disorders Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (classic type), Fibrodysplasia Ossificans, Hypokalemic Periodic Paralysis (HYPP), Myotonia Congenita, Vitamin D-Dependent Rickets (VDDR), types IA and IB Ophthalmologic disorders Glaucoma, primary congenital, Late-Onset Photoreceptor Degeneration (rdAc), Progressive Retinal Atrophy (AIPL1-related), Progressive Retinal Atrophy (KIF3B-related) Renal disorders Cystinuria, types IA and B, Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD), Primary Hyperoxaluria, type II (Oxalosis II.
Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), Feline Leukemia Virus (FELV).

An example of why health testing is important...Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) is the most prevalent inherited genetic disease of cats, predominantly affecting persian, himalayan and exotic breeds. It is estimated that approximately 36% to 49% of these breeds have PKD. There is no cure for it. It causes fluid filled cysts to grow in the kidneys leading to kidney failure. The lifespan for a cat with PKD varies, but on average kidney failure begins around age 7. Nothing is more devastating than watching the decline of a family member knowing the eventual outcome. All of our cats are tested NN meaning that they do not carry a copy of the gene and therefore cannot pass the gene/disease to offspring.

Can we as a breeder guarantee that each kitten we breed is going to live a long, healthy, beautiful life? Unfortunately, no. Can we guarantee that we are going to do our best from the very beginning to provide families with a healthy and happy kitten? Absolutely YES!

Please don't hesitate to reach out to us with any questions regarding health testing or any other questions you may have.

Products We Recommend

NuVet - We offer our cats and kittens a product called NuVet. It is an excellent supplement/immune system builder. It gives them vitamins, minerals, omega fatty acids, amino acids and antioxidants. It's made in a FDA registered pharmaceutical company in the U.S. It helps with energy, skin, coat, eye discharge and helps with cardiovascular, digestive, kidney and liver function. It is especially important for kittens as they are transitioning into their new homes with new strains of bacteria, other pets, etc. We are very pleased with it. If you decide that you would like to continue using it, you can order by calling 1-800-474-7044 or by clicking on the "Order NuVet Products" link below and using code 29903. It is not offered at your local Walmart or Amazon. It's only sold by veterinarians, pet professionals, etc. It is offered in both tablet and powder form. We use the powder. Just sprinkle it right on their food and your done. (Picture and link below)

Furminator - Grooming is a requirement, particularly when it comes to owning a long-hair persian or himalayan cat. A tool that we have found to be useful is called a furminator. It does an excellent job at raking out the undercoat and reducing shedding. It's awesome if any matting does occur. It can be found on Amazon and at other retailers. (Picture below)

Eye Envy - Not all persian, himalayan and exotic cats have eye discharge. Some are more prone to it, especially those with more extreme (smooshy) faces. We typically breed doll face kittens. They tend to have less eye drainage and sinus issues. We try to aim for the middle ground. We don't like the health issues associated with the extreme (smooshy) face, but we want to keep that persian, himalayan, exotic look at the same time. With that being said, this is a product that we recommend for those kitties that do have some eye discharge. It works miracles. It can be found on Amazon and at other retailers. (Picture below)

Trupanion - We offer 30 days of free pet insurance from Trupanion. It can cover injuries and illnesses such as bite wounds, accidental ingestions, upper respiratory infections, diagnostic test, medication, surgeries, hospital stays, prosthetic devices, etc. We provide you with information and a 30 day free trial. You can then decide if a pet insurance policy is right for you. Trupanion.com

Kitty Tent - This portable tunnel is great for transitioning your new kitten to other pets in the home. It's also great if you want to allow your kitten some time on the deck (supervised of course!) It also makes a fun toy to play in with the zippered doors open. It can be found on Amazon and at other retailers. (Picture and link below)
